After deciding that we were in fact going, the mini's were loaded. Tent, sleeping bags, etc, we got a call from Howard saying he was gonna bring his BIG tent. Now if you know howard at all you'll know he doesn't do things by half, so it was deffinately gonna be big enough for all five us, and insisted he bring his car aswell. We reminded him it was a mini do, but he was quite insistent, so we let him. Turns out the reason being was so he could bring his bloody matress!!
Anyway, we got there early evening on the sat. As we were driving into the camping area, who did we stumble across, but those crazy guys at Lincs mini chaos. We found a good spot and set up camp. The bloody tent was that big it was more of a hareem! Could have parked the bloody cars in it! It didnt stop there, cos no sooner was the tent up, but H pulls out this bundle of metal flatpacked into the size of a small stool lets say, and within a few minutes the was a kitchen too! Twin stoves, warming tray cupbaord underneath for food, etc. Absolute quality! So that was it. Kettle on and roll a smoke. THE LMMM HAVE LANDED!

After a cuppa and few beers, ....alright, lots of beers, and smoke, we five decended on the bar, and venue to cause some chaos. I must say the turnout was very impressive. There were some excellent examples of cherished cars, crazyily modified, and the odd rot box in all its glory.

Sometime later we returned to the tent, cranked up Charlotte's sound system, put on some dub, and got out the poi!

May i say that mini owners are ace! We got chatting to loads of other clubs, talking all kinds of mini related rubbish and frankly they're sound! There was a bit of a horn 'bib-off' at about 2am. It was cool. Mini horns sounded from all around us in concession, until....... one mardy git started moaning. So respectfully,........ we bibbed again! He He. We even had a visit from the Chief Editor of 'Mini Magazine', who i must say was quite wasted too, good lad!! Nice guy actually.

We entered the hareem at this point and turned off the music. Well, almost. We'd packed a accoustic guitar, some bongo's, and a harmonica, and decided to have a bit of an accoustic jam. As it turns out a few guys from another mini club were listening by the entrance to the tent, unbeknownst to us, and the said it was really good. Impressive, cos we were pretty wasted by this point, but hey, so were they! This went on for some time late into the morning, time unknown.

The next day we were woken by the most beautiful of sounds......people ragging mini's down the track. What a beautiful sound. I love the sound of the a-series engine. It just tickles me in such a wonderful way.

Once everyone was awake, i use the term 'awake' loosely, we headed to the venue to check out the action. There were all kinds of mini's going down the track. Some idiot even took a BMW mini down it, and the 1275cc mini in the other lane beat it by half a second! Nice work lad. The rocket car was there aswell. Man thats one awesome sounding bit of kit.(See Vid)
There was a chevy 434ci engined mini(9.79secs!), mead's turbo duratec mini, even a twin-engined a-series!!! Sweeeeeet...

After a bit, we headed for the paddock, towards the traders and stalls to do a bit of shopping, and such. We had a spot of lunch, and continued to shop, watch, and wander, till it was time to go, booooo! We packed up, tidied up, and left. Upon leaving the venue it was clear that this was one enormous convoy! We travelled with about 7 or so nearly all the way back to Lincoln! It was a great end to a great little weekend in a great little car.
